Have you ever wondered why you feel so stressed out? I have. I mean sometimes it seems like I should be having a great day and if I’m not careful, all of a sudden I’m totally stressed out. What I’ve found is that when it comes right down to it, stress can be triggered by just about anything, how we work or even how we relax. There doesn’t have to have some major triggering event to cause us to be “stressed out”. I mean I’ve even been stressed out even when I’m bored!
What kind of things stresses most of us out? Well an incomplete list includes our relationships, family conflicts, break ups, the death of a loved one, problems with co-workers or with work in general, trying to do too much and not taking enough time for you. Any or all of these can cause us to become and remained stressed.
Now stress at the right time is a good thing. When you are about to show a sales proposal to a potential new client the stress you feel might make you more alert and keep you on your toes. On the other hand the stress you feel when you have a tight deadline that makes your head hurt so bad that you can’t think straight isn’t good for you at all. That’s stress overload.
Stress overload can be result of being stressed out for too long like when you’re going through a financial crisis or a divorce, In these times your mind and body stay a state of high alert causing your to become stressed out. Stress overload can also be a result of things like natural disasters, car accidents, assaults, fires, shootings, wars, etc. This is often known as post traumatic stress disorder. People who experience these types of stressful events often need professional help, which include hypnosis and NLP.
Some people are naturally overanxious and as a result react excessively to stress. Unfortunately, with these people even small difficulties can loom like crises. If someone frequently feels tense, upset, worried, or stressed, it could be an indicator of anxiety and turn into acute anxiety disorder. This type of anxiety nearly always requires professional attention. Again, hypnosis and NLP has been proven to help these types of anxiety problems.
